Add Show
After clicking the button you will be presented with the following popup:
When you are first creating your show you will have to pick which features you want to include in your show. This is to avoid presenting you with options that you do not want in your show. If you don't intend on having performers, then don't click on the "Performing" feature. If you want to allow your audience to vote on your performers, then be sure to click on the "Voting" feature. Below is a breakdown of each feature:
- Messaging - Allows you to present messages to your audience on either your venue TVs or your audience members' mobile devices. This varies from simple text, to custom images or even YouTube videos (Hi-Impact Media permissions required for images and videos).
- Performing - Allows you to maintain a show lineup and present who is currently performing to your audience. The performer's name will appear on venue TVs as well as mobile devices.
- Voting - Allows your audience members to vote on the performers on your show. When voting begins it will be announced on the venue TV's, and all the mobile devices will be presented with a 1-5 star voting system. Scores will be presented in real time on your Show Runner Interface, as well as on the venue TVs if you choose.
- Draw - Allows you to run door prizes on demand. With the click of a button you will be able to select one random audience member that has logged in to your show. Their mobile device will start flashing and vibrating to indicate that they won.
Click to move to the following screen and define your show parameters:
Each of these parameters control how your show works and what is presented to your audience. Here is a breakdown of each field and what they do:
- Name - This is the name of your show (no way!). This will not only identify the show to you on your show list, but it will also appear directly below your venue's logo on all of the mobile devices when displaying Text custom messages.
-
Show Date - This is the date AND time of your show. When you click the field you will be presented with the date and time selector below (thanks react-datetime!) Be sure to click the time field at the bottom (red arrow is pointing at it) and it will transform into the 2nd screen so you can set the specific time of your show. Note: Your shows must be at least 6 hours apart!
Image 2.2.3 - Add Show - Show Date
Image 2.2.4 - Add Show - Show Time - Code - This is the code that people will type into their mobile devices to identify the show they are attending. You can set it to whatever you like, a word, a number, a short phrase, etc. So long as it is unique it will work. If you enter a code someone else has used for a show that conflicts with the date and time of your show then it will indicate that with red letters that say "taken" when you try to save the show.
- Venue (optional) - This is the venue that your show is occurring at. It is entirely optional to select a venue. When you select a venue it will override the code for your show and your audience will use the venue's code to log in instead, if one if defined. If you have advertising privileges the show's sponsor logo and URL will be overridden by the venue's as well, if the venue has them defined.
- TV Theme - This will control the theme of the television display. If you select "Light" then the background of the TVs will be white and the text will be black. If you select "Dark" then the background of the TVs will be black and the text will be white. Consider using the "Dark" TV theme if you plan to have the house lights down during your show. Your audience's eyes will thank you.
- TV Score Visible - Check the box if you want the real-time voting score of a performer to be displayed on the TVs while voting is underway. As votes come in the score on the TV will be updated.
- Sponsor Logo (optional) - The sponsor logo that will appear at the bottom of the screen on all of your audience member's mobile devices. If a venue with a sponsor logo defined is selected for the show, any value you have set here will be overridden. If you have a value defined in "Sponsor URL" below, when an audience member clicks on the sponsor logo they will be taken to the URL you specified.
- Sponsor URL (optional) - The URL of the sponsor for the show. When a Sponsor Logo is defined above, if an audience member clicks on the sponsor logo on their mobile devices then they will be taken to the Sponsor URL you define here. If a venue with a sponsor URL defined is selected for the show, any value you have set here will be overridden.

From here you can click the ⬆ and ⬇ buttons to move performers up and down in the lineup, or you can click the ❌ to the right of a performer to remove them from the lineup completely. Type a name into the search bar at the bottom and you will be presented with a list of search results for performers in the Human Input system:
The performer names that match the search you entered will appear as buttons. Click the performer name if they appear and you want to add them to the show. If you don't see the performer you are entering simply click the button to add them to our system. You will be presented with a confirmation screen to make sure the spelling is correct. Click 'OK' and they will be added to our system as well as your lineup.
Edit Messages
If you click the button then you will be taken to the following screen to edit the custom messages on your show:
When you first come to this screen you will have no custom messages. Click the button to add one. There are 4 types of custom messages you can add.
The first type of custom message is Single. This is a flat text input that you can enter a message into, and it will display the same message on both the TVs as well as the audience members' mobile devices.
The second type of custom message is Dual. This is two flat text inputs that you can enter message into, and it will display the first message on the audience members' mobile devices, and the second one on the TVs. This is for when you want to present the same idea, but maybe phrase it differently depending on where it is displayed.
Hi-Impact Media Messages
Note: The following two types of custom messages require Hi-Impact Media permissions. Make sure to boost your show or upgrade your account if you want to use them!
The third type of custom message is Image. Here you can select an image graphic (jpg, png, gif, etc.) and it will appear on the audience member's mobile devices as well as on the televisions when the custom message is activated.
The fourth, and final, type of custom message is Video. Here you can paste in a YouTube link and the video will be played on all the TVs when the custom message is activated. The mobile devices will display a message telling them to look at the TVs in the venue.
If you are cycling custom messages, you must specify the length of the video so that transitioning between messages is smooth. Even if the video is longer, or shorter, than the length specified, the messages will cycle on the exact interval specified here.
Reorder Messages
Once you have more than 1 custom message defined, the button will appear. Click that button to be taken to the following screen:
From here you can click the ⬆ and ⬇ buttons to move custom messages up and down in the order that they will appear in your dropdown on the Show Runner Interface. The order of your custom messages will also control the order they appear when cycling, so if you intend to use the message cycle feature then be sure to define your order and video lengths carefully!
